This website seeks to contrast the effects of cultural and intellectual traditions versus a rapidly modernizing and globalizing reality. There is a huge disconnect between mindset and reality in governance, education and society. Many policy-makers are rooted in historical experiences that are rapidly losing touch with the current reality. The previous generation has a wealth of experience but is set in its, often limiting, ways. On the other hand, while the youth has freshness of perspective and is capable of intellectual innovations, their voices are rarely heard. We, as progressive writers are in a unique position to point out the hypocrisy that exists in the traditionally conservative establishment as well as highlight the complacency of the middle class when it comes to accepting the evolution of society. Using the electronic media, we want to bring out our own perspectives.
