Bonnie Taylor-Talbot - Welcome
In 1996, at the age of 44, Bonnie Taylor-Talbot began painting in Oregon on boards with house paint colours she mixed myself. A self-taught artist, her work is now layers of acrylic on canvas to achieve ribbons of colour between objects and then hand stamped words and phrases to complete the pieces. Everyday items mixed with Paris grates, crowns, chickens and chandeliers delight me. She often thinks Matisse is watching over my shoulder. And, like him, the bulk of my work is interior; She enjoys painting chairs, plump pears and buckets of flowers. She attempts daily to share my joy through art. She was recently fortunate enough to have my pictures in the Baltimore Magazine (bridal issue 2004) and the Oregon Home Magazine (March 2004). She was also interviewed by The Northwest Gardener TV Show (April 2004, air date).
