Takbeer.NET - Takbeer.NET is an online non profit portal dedicated to serving the human kind. Currently we are working on a massive Flood Relief for the victims and casualties of the recent floods in Pakistan. In July 2010, Monsoon rains caused heavy flooding all over Pakistan. An estimated 2,000 people have died so far with close to a million homes badly damaged or destroyed. The United Nations estimates over 20 million people are suffering with over 160,000 square kilometers affected as a result of the flooding, exceeding the combined total of the affected of Indian Ocean Tsunami, the 2005 Kashmir earthquake and the 2010 Haiti earthquake. Around a fifth of Pakistan's total land area was impacted by the floods. Millions of dollars' worth of crops have been destroyed, cattle have drowned and risk of disease is very high. Takbeer.NET is accepting your donations and Zakat to help a lending hand to our fellow human beings in this time of dire need. In Collaboration with the Hidaya Foundation, Takbeer.NET initiated a 'Flood Relief Clothing Drive' and collected over a 1000lbs of used clothes, shoes and blankets and handed over to Hidaya Foundation. Similar initiatives were taken all over bay area and Northern California. We have received overwhelming response from our local communities, and therefore have decided to continue this drive into coming weeks as well.
