My Visual Sojourn started back in 2003 with a Digital Rebel in my hand and dream in my mind about all the beautiful places I always wanted to see, but never seemed to find the time to experience. Well the year is 2010, and since then, I have had the time of my life seeing and experiencing all those beautiful places.....What A Journey It Has Been!
The photos you see here are only a small fraction of the images I have captured, but they do represent those special moments I have seen and come to enjoy. I am truly amazed at the range of colors nature can provide and find it a humbling experience whenever I am in the presence of these visual fireworks.
At first, like most photographers, I was caught up in the technical aspects of the moment and was guilty of missing the best part of the journey. For you see, the photo is only a by-product of the moment; the real prize is in the experience itself!
To stand on a sheer canyon precipice and gaze out across the blazing evening sky, or to feel the soft ocean breeze upon my face as I watch a symphony of colors greet the morning sun has given me the greatest peace I have ever known.I hope you enjoy these moments as much as I did capturing them............Dave
