The Indian community in Papworth started growing with the arrival of Indian nurses to the Papworth hospital in period from 2000-2005.With the arrival of over 50 families, a need was felt to gather people around one roof and educate our children and celebrate our rich traditions. During the Onam celebrations held during September 17th 2005 at Pendrill Court, the idea of forming ICAP was discussed and a nucleus was formed, from which the association was evolved. In keeping our association with the village, we held a signature campaign during the month to ensure that the bus service run by Stagecoach from Cambourne to Papworth was not reduced . This was a visible symbol of our effort to make a statement in the affairs of our area.The first annual cultural night was held In the Pendragon primary school, which all our members actively participated.
