PAWS of Butte County - Oroville, CA
PAWS, Promotion of Animal Welfare Society, of Butte County was established in 1981. PAWS is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to provide low-cost spaying, neutering, and some minor medical services for pets of low-income people and the general public. PAWS strives to lower the dog and cat population in Butte County in an attempt to lessen the neglect, suffering, and death of the numerous animals that cannot find good homes. Every loving pet deserves a quality of life that includes a loving home.
PAWS Thrift & Gift Shop is now located at 3557 OroDam Blvd. in Oroville (534-5713) in the same building as our spay-neuter clinic. Hours are 8:00 to 5:00 M-Th, 10:00 to 4:00 on Friday, and 10:00 to 2:00 on Saturday.. We sell only good quality merchandise including gently used and new clothing for men, women and children, housewares, jewelry, novelty items, books, and many more wonderful things. Proceeds go to help spay and neuter dogs and cats in Butte County. Please drop in and shop with us. We take VISA and ATM.
We are always in need of cash donations from the community to help with our program and to help finance our spay-neuter clinic, which is open 4 days a week, Monday through Thursday (and some Fridays, by appointment). Please mail to PAWS, PO Box 5715, Oroville, CA 95965.
If you are in need of spaying and/or neutering, immunizations, or other minor medical needs for your pets, please call our clinic at (530) 534-0900.
PAWS is always in need of animal-loving volunteers. Want to help?? Please donate items and/or work at the thrift shop. For more information, please call 534-5713.
