Hello!
This site is dedicated to introduce Persian Landscapes. Persian Landscapes are the living landscape originating before the Persian Empire centuries ago. Like any other living landscape, you can see the result of interactions between humans and the natural environment in Persian Landscapes.
For 25 years, as a photographer, environmental impact assessor, and professor of landscape planning, I traveled throughout Iran, sometimes visiting each town along my path. I use Nikon F and D, Olympus OM-1 and SP, and Leica R camera systems and have taken around 50,000 shots. Although my journeys were mostly in Iran, I have photographed landscapes in other countries including Japan, UAE, Korea, Europe, and the USA. Uploading such a huge archive will take time, so please revisit my site once in while to find new galleries.
Pictures in each gallery are consecutively arranged to tell a comprehensive story by depicting different but related perspectives for each location.
I would like to express my thanks and gratitude to my master photographer, Mr. S.L. Arani, for his positive attitude, invaluable knowledge of professionalism, encouragement, and love of photography that guided me throughout my life.
