Cascade Crossing Project - Home
The Cascade Crossing Transmission Project is proposed by Portland General Electric (PGE) to construct, operate and maintain approximately 210 miles of new 500 kilovolt (kV) transmission lines and three new substations between PGE’s Coyote Springs Plant in Boardman and PGE’s Bethel substation east of Salem, following existing transmission corridors most of the way. The proposed project must undergo the Oregon Department of Energy-Energy Facility Siting Council (ODOE-EFSC) process as well as the federal National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process, which will be led by the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). This Web site is a collaboration between Portland General Electric, the Bureau of Land Management, the U.S. Forest Service and the Oregon Department of Energy-Energy Facility Siting Council.
