Having grown up in a family which spent vacations backpacking in wilderness areas and traveling overseas, Mark Fowler early developed an avid interest in nature and photography. His grandfather was a landscape architect for the U.S. National Park Service and a photographer. He also watched his father utilize medium format cameras to achieve needle sharp nature photographs and when digital photography came of age, Mark entered the field to expand on what he had learned.
With extensive travel in the United States, Europe, and most recently in Iceland, Mark has captured photographs emphasizing the essence of the landscape. Mark does not edit the nature of the photographs but uses advanced techniques to capture the full range of light in the scene, from the deepest shadows to the brightest highlights. These techniques result in conveying the feeling at the moment of capture. Providing the viewer with a unique perspective.
Mark's photographs have been exhibited and sold in corporate venues, charity auctions, and galleries.
