Gerald Fagan Photography specializes in High School Seniors, Maternity, Newborn, Family and Wedding Portraiture, either in studio or on location. The portrait studio is located at 15600 Porterfield Highway, Abingdon Virginia, 24210 and can be reached at 276-415-0025.
All portraits are by appointment only, so please call before visiting. I could be out working on location.
We provide on location and in studio photography services to Bristol Virginia/Tennessee, Kingsport TN, Johnson City TN, Norton VA, Lebanon VA, Tazewell VA, and Marion VA. Generally speaking Southwest Virginia and East Tennessee. I am also willing to travel virtually anywhere to do portraits.
About Me
My name is Gerald Fagan, and I have been involved in photography since the summer of 2000. I have always had an interest in art, but one day I realized I enjoyed taking pictures and was actually good at it. Since then I took college classes in photography and business, assisted a leading wedding photographer in Eastern Ontario and worked in a busy portrait studio until I moved to Southwest Virginia and married my beautiful wife in 2006.
About My Portrait Packages
I offer a wide range of packages to meet everyone’s needs and budgets. These generally range from $75.00 to $4000 before tax.
General Portraits including maternity, family, and pet portraiture:
These packages begin at $75.00 and do not include the sitting fee, which varies on location and type of portrait.
High School Senior Portraits, newborn portraits and automotive portraits:
These portrait packages begin at $150.00 and include an hour of photography and unlimited locations and clothing changes, as time permits. The photos include basic airbrushing to remove light acne and other things that you may want to be touched up.
Senior Portrait Myths:
Do you have to use your school photographer? No, you don't! Your school may require you have to have your tux/drape “YEARBOOK” photos taken by the schools contracted photography studio, but you are not required to purchase anything from them. They only encourage it because they are getting a cut of the sales.
Will my senior portraits look like everyone else's? This might only be true if you were to get your senior picture done by the school contracted studio. They have limited time and space to do each portrait. However if you were to choose a custom photographer such as myself, you will get fun, trendy and unique photos.
Are Senior portraits dull and boring? They do not have to be! My goal is to capture your personality and interests! Before our portrait session, we will discuss what look you are going for, clothing options, and what interests you. I will try to incorporate your interests and hobbies into great and unique portraits! Got a cool car? Then we will take some pictures with it. Are you part of a sports team? Then bring your uniform and equipment with you.
Are Senior portraits expensive? I am not going to mislead you and tell you that unique and custom photography is inexpensive because it is not. But I can tell you that you do not have to spend a fortune to get quality photos. It really depends on what your budget is and what products you want. I do not believe in pressure sales tactics. I created packages with everyone in mind, starting with a $150 package.
If I hire a studio to do my pictures, will I get a random photographer? Not with Gerald Fagan Photography! I am the only photographer so you will know what to expect. You are not paying for a studio name, you are paying for quality images and prints that will be treasured for generations to come.
Wedding & Engagement Packages:
These packages begin at $750.00 plus tax. Packages with traditional leather albums or modern printed leather albums are available. I am covered by liability insurance and bring backup camera’s and equipment to every wedding I shoot.
Business Portraits
Business Portraits can be done either in studio or at your place of work for your convenience. Different packages with different commercial rights releases are available depending on your business needs.
Passports - American and International
Local and International Passports / Identification photo’s are available. For uncommon requests, please bring the photo requirements.
Sports Photography
Professional sports photography is available, for individual’s and teams. This includes baseball, basketball, soccer, ballet, martial arts and gymnastics.
