Mary Lou Mack has been painting all her life. Her landscapes and seascapes are drawn from her travels in the New England and California areas but also France, Italy, Australia, Greece, and Bermuda. Ms. Mack has had one and two women shows in Springfield, Lee, Melrose, Wellfleet and Dennis. She has participated in Decorator Showplaces in Longeadow, MA. She has exhibited in the Academic Artists National Juried Show in Springfield and the Northeast Juried Exhibition sponsored by the Springfield Art League.She also was selected for the national juried show, "Tree-mondous" at the Cahoon Museum in Cotuit, MA. She has also taken part in the Cahoon's Great Brush-Off!
Since becoming a full time resident of Cape Cod 7 years ago, she has joined the Provincetown Art Association, the Chatham Creative Arts Center, the Yarmouth Cultural Center and the Museum of Fine Arts in Dennis.
Her work is currently in the Rubel Gallery in Damariscotta,Maine, the Lutz Gallery in Harwichport, MA and her studio in Dennis, MA.
She holds a B.A. degree from Emmanuel College in Boston and has also studied art at the Worcester and Springfield Art Museum Schools. She attended art classes with Jack Flynn, A.W.S. and Susan Tilton Pecora at Bay Path Junior College in Longmeadow, MA. She has participated in many workshops wirh prominent United States watercolor artists such as Marc Moon, A.W.S., George Shedd, A.W.S., Marian Williams Steele, Carlton Plummer, A.W.S. and Betty Lou Schlemm, A.W.S. of Rockport, MA. Since 1989, she has enjoyed the tutelage of Watercolor Magazine contributor, Timothy J. Clark.
