John Shuman learned how enjoyable photography could be when he purchased his first serious camera, a Nikon, while stationed in Northern Italy in the early 1970's. He attended the Nikon School of Photography in Norfolk, VA and fondly remembers viewing 4 slide projectors, 80 slides in carousel, synchronized to the music of "Dueling Banjos" to show what happens when photographers are sent out to take interesting shots of ...."there's nothing to do in Biloxi, Mississippi."
John is now specializing in "catching the magic of the moment" with his contemporary photography. He concentrates on seeing "shapes, forms and motion" with a most interesting eye. His photography is growing and changing everyday.

Please be courteous to other photographers and the wildlife you are photographing. To adequately photograph wildlife you need good lenses. Rent a camera and lenses for that once of a lifetime vacation. You will never regret it and you can be a safe distance from the wildlife.
My wife and I became Texans in 1988. Ken has lived in Illinois, South Carolina, Florida, Utah, Kansas, Texas, Mississippi, Hawaii, and Washington. Ken's travels have taken him to 47 of the 50 states, Vietnam, Germany, Norway, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and Jordan.
Photographing since 1967 with his first Petri SLR. Ken's knowledge of photography has increased by reading, listening to other photographers, the internet, and taking photographs in the field. He is a self taught photographer, and is a member of NANPA (The North American Nature Photography Association).
