The International Poetry Museum Campaign
The Campaign to Establish and International Poetry Museum. We announce the initiation of a campaign to establish the INTERNATIONAL POETRY MUSEUM, the first such institution of its kind in the world. Its aim will be to illuminate the ancient heritage of folk poetry in the history and prehistory of human existence. Yes we aim to provide comprehensive view of the role of poetry throughout history. All societies, tribal or national , have their poetic traditions, oral and/ or written. Sound, video, and computer technologiess will be used to illuminate ancient folk poetry such as Sanskrit, Dravidian, Tao, Han, Hebrew, Homerric, Mayan, Amerind and much more, so little known to Europeans and Americans.

son, and is Adjunct Professor
at NYU. He has received
fellowships from a number
of institutions, and
has been writer in residence
at many colleges. His

(1995); The Millennium

in Venice, the final
volume of his trilogy.
He is also the author

on Poetry and Poets (1993),
a translation of Boris
Pasternak's My Sister

of Euripides' Daughters
of Troy.
