We run a third generation operation of about 100 cows, all polled and all registered. Calving season is mid-February through April. Steer calves are marketed in January through Bagley Livestock Exchange on their special Hereford influence feeder sale. Open heifers, bred heifers and the very top cut of bulls are sold on the farm by private treaty. We also consign to the Go-pher the Purple select sale at Hutchinson in December.

The Illinois Polled Hereford Association is a not for profit organization with membership consisting of Hereford enthusiasts. The Illinois Polled Hereford Association believes that the breed has tremendous contributions to make to the beef industry and the future generations of cattle enthusiasts.
