Kairos @ the Neal Unit
Welcome to the gathering place for the Kairos Team that volunteers at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice's Nathaniel J. Neal Unit in Amarillo, TX. We're glad you're here, and hope that you take a few minutes to look around. According to the Kairos method, we volunteer for two four-day weekends per year, one in April and another in October, where we go into the prison and spend four days getting to know forty-two incarcerated men and deliver them God's message of hope and love. We then follow-up every Kairos weekend with a monthly reunion where we go into the prison the third Saturday of every month and spend time with the Kairos Christian community in order to help the men in white to have, maintain, and grow a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
