Markham Design Excellence Awards in 2001(Quadrangle Architects); Scarborough Urban Design Award in 1994 for the institutional project Scarborough Centre for Alternative Studies

Worked on Rivertowne / Don Mount Court development; Oak Bay resort development (Eden Oak Developers); The Bohemian Embassy, East Markham Community Centre; Dean Park (Site Plan Approval) project included a Roof Garden.
Peter Owen was mentored Franc Amsen. Peter Owen's father John E. Owen was an architect with the firm Neish Owen Rowland and Roy (NORR), a firm based in Toronto. This firm grew out of the pioneering firm John B. Parkin and Associates
