QuarkNet QuarkNet is
a professional development program for science teachers, funded
by the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Department of Energy.
Teachers work on a particle physics experiment during a summer and join a
cadre of scientists and teachers working to introduce aspects of their
research into the classroom.
Now in its tenth year, QuarkNet involves about 100,000 students from over
500 U.S. high schools.
