Neal is a guitarist/musician and a teacher of music and guitar. He started playing guitar at the age of 12. His father is actually a very well known artist in Japan. His name is Shusei Nagaoka. And because of Neal's dad, he had quite an unusual childhood. For starters, he grew up with some very interesting classmates and friends, many with famous parents and some even becoming famous stars themselves. Also when he was very young, he has been on national TV even before picking up the guitar. But because of his unusual childhood, this may be the main reason why Neal chose to become a musician and followed in his dads artistic footsteps. In his early period, Neal has studied under some of the best teachers in the world. But his journey through life hasn't always been a smooth ride due to unseen health issues but thankfully for the great friends and family members that has supported him, Neal was very priviledged to study and perform with some of the most incredible musicians in the world and even taught some amazing students.
As far as his professional career goes, Neal currently has 3 CDs out. He was also a teacher at Musicians Institute and currently a teacher at the National Guitar Workshop. Also endorsing ESP Guitars and Dimarzio Pickups and has worked along with other companies as well, ENGL Amplification, Point Technologies and Double Whammy Tremolos.
