The Gauchos
In the Southern most region of Brazil, the Gauchos, or South American cowboys traditionally would prepare a feast for their families by first slow roasting the various meats over an open pit and then bringing the meats around to each family member to be carved table side in a show of skill and festive gift giving. The meats were accompanied by seasonal fresh vegetable dishes using native ingredients, along with rice and beans. The tradition continues at L'aldea where we offer an exceptional dining experience, among the ruins of lost civilizations found in the rainforests of Central and South America, featuring a gourmet salad area and continuous service of sizzling meats.

Your dining experience begins as you treat yourself to our sumptuous 50-60 item seasonal salad area including appetizers, soups, salads, and traditional side items including the house baked Fried Cornmeal with cheese (Arepas). Turn your card to green and prepare to be swarmed by a troop of carvers generously serving various cuts of seasoned beef, lamb, pork, chicken and Brazilian sausage. As you feast on the Brazilian fare, let one of our in-house wine connoisseurs select the perfect pairing from our extensive wine list or sip on a freshly made signature cocktail, The Caipirinha. Complete your dining experience with one of our many decadent dessert selections, then relax with an after dinner drink or a steaming espresso.
