Candy Wilson - dreamer, artist, teacher
I have always been a dreamer, grounded in reality. As a child, I wanted to be an archaeologist, discovering ancient artifacts and traveling around the world. My creativity, however, led me to a life in art. I see myself as a true artist, seeing beauty in the everyday world around me. As an art instructor, I try to teach my students to see that same beauty…to recognize it and understand the connections that art makes through the ages. I am motivated by my own desire to create. Color and texture guide me and my artwork tends to reflect my optimistic personality and love of nature and all things old. I have experience in drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, mosaics, weaving, glass, printmaking, photography, beadwork, and more - and am always finding new ways to express myself.
