Robbins Rest Fire Island, NY
Robbins Rest is a tiny community of 40 houses that sits on of the most serene and beautiful ocen beaches on the east coast. To the south is the Great South Bay. To the East of Robbins Rest is a hundred acre National Wildlife Refuge, The small town of Cornielle and Ocean Beach, to the West another larger wildlife preserve, Atlantic Marina, and Lonlyville. If your a beach person you'll agree with the locals that this is a very special place. Laid back and private, the residents are mostly home owners and a few rental oppurtunities. Our Fire Island share house is in Robbins Rest. It has seven bedrooms plus a guest bunk bedroom. Three bathrooms and three showers, two of which are outside. There is three large decks with amazing views of both the ocean and the bay as well as two nature preserves that the house sits between. A large redwood hottub on the front deck. The house has three levels. The ground level has the laundry room an outdoor shower and two of the bungalow style bedrooms. The middle level has four bedrooms, two of the bathrooms and the guest bunk bed room. The top floor has a huge kitchen and large preparation island, a large dining room a living room with a fireplace, one of the bedrooms and the third bathroom. The amount of common area in this house is one of its best features.
