I started photography in 1973 as a hobby while I was in the Navy. I soon realized that I had a passion to capture "Moments in Time". I started with a Yashica FRII and used that camera until somewhere around 1983 or 1984 when my trusty film camera broke and there wasn't a repair shop around Indy that would repair it. So I moved to Nikon cameras. In 2005 I got my first digital camera. a D50, that progressed to a D80 and a D300. My passion is sports photography, but I will photograph almost anything and everything I see. You can almost always bet that I will have a camera with me. I have had the opportunity to do weddings, family reunions and special events. Since I started using film cameras I learned how to compose everything thru the view finder. I try to capture the essence of what is happening in the moment and minimal photo shopping. Today with digital cameras there is no worry about the number of shots on a roll its how many cards does one have.
