Roan Judd - Beyond Storytelling
Mime, puppetry, clowning, Irish drumming and improvisational acting are combined to tell folk tales, fairy tales, myths, legends and current children's literature.
Roan draws upon original family stories and memories of a childhood spent in the deep south and northern Michigan to recreate the past and simpler, more rural, times.
Programs for Women's History Month, Michigan Week and Reading Month feature women in heroic roles, men with big hearts, and characters from all backgrounds who are challenged by difficult tasks and choices. She tells from her own background--Native American stories, Irish stories, French and Italian tales--and she respectfully borrows from others to weave multicultural tales with humor and heart.
Holiday programs, in-services and workshops in storytelling, writing, mime and puppetry can be tailored to your special event.
