Just saying you are a party band does not make you a party band. Down South has spent years honing their individual musical skills and everyone in the band has a drive to entertain as well. As much as Down South enjoys playing, they enjoy entertaining the crowd and engaging the crowd in the evening’s entertainment. Down South does not believe people should come out to “watch” a band as much as experience a band.Hailing mainly from the south side of Atlanta the band has a wide variety of backgrounds, including Jeff and Chris’ rock and metal backgrounds, John’s blues and rock background, Danetta’s rock and pop background, and Mick’s solid southern rock roots. Mix all of them together and you have one solid set of musicians. With years of experience playing bars, nightclubs, special events and larger venues this band knows what it takes to get the crowds moving. The main event, the music. Down South plays a healthy dose of down home, good time rock with some great pop music from the 80’s, 90’s and current hits, with just enough country to please a wide variety of patrons. The music is impulsive, with the band changing directions at a moment's notice to get the maximum in audience response and participation.
