luigicortes.com, My name is Luis Carlo M Cortes and I hope that what you’ll read in the following text will capture you’re attention and interest. Luigi Cortes (artistic name) was born on the lovely island of Aruba on the 8th of September 1986. Nowadays at the age of 23 he is known as one of the biggest singers,composers and musicians of all times in Aruba born and raised in a Christian family speaking 4 languages native language Papiamento, Inglish,Spanish,Dutch. “Practically my life started with music” He says. At the age of 1 he sang his first song and at the age of 8 he recorded his first song “Nos Mensahe”. In that time the song was the number one hit on every radio station on the island. At the age of 15 he started singing and playing bass guitar for a very famous Gaita orkest named Fortalesa, where at the age of 17 he sang his second hit song called “Nos Emanuel” which means God with us. At the age of 19 he participated at the most famous reality show contest, which is the biggest singing contest ever on the island of Aruba called “SPARKLING TOUR” in which over more than 100 participants try their best and he came out as the overall winner in 2006. Winning this competition changed his life forever and that’s when he fell in love with music and singing. As the overall winner he won 20 thousand dollars where he made his first solo production in 2007 called “ Con un te quiero” a success with 3 hits composing his own songs on the island.This year his in the proces of his 2nd album (Porque me amas)in a different style and concept coming out June 2010 Looking forward to get a record deal!! Believing that if it's the will of his lord Jesus Christ that he will make it.

Reunion - Southern Gospel with a touch of Country and Bluegrass
Reunion was started in the fall of 2006 when two old friends got back together after a long hiatus to do a Homecoming singing for Center Baptist Church near Lafayette Alabama. The two guys, Kenny Hood and David White, had once been part of a very popular local Gospel group known as the Guides. The Guides were a group of young high school and college guys that toubrown around the South in the late 70's. Kenny was the piano player and David was the tenor singer for the group. During their time together, the group made a number of albums, and if you followed Gospel Music during this time, you knew the Guides! After practicing together as a duet for a while, Kenny and David decided to ask Gwen Taunton to play bass and do a little singing with them in preparation for their up-coming engagement at Center Baptist Church. Gwen had played and sang Gospel Music and Bluegrass Music with various groups through the years and on occasion, had done a few bookings with the Guides. Reunion, as they are now known, performed that day and were well received. In fact, several other churches began to ask for the group to come and perform at their church functions. The guys really like singing and playing their special blend of Contemporary Gospel and Southern Gospel with a country and bluegrass flavor.
