Project Science - Science Made Fun for Kids
Project Science offers children educational, entertaining, and unique hands on science learning experiences. We inspire children through an interactive environment of discovery that ignites the imagination. Our program strives to develop scientific literacy at a stage when it is as essential as learning reading, writing and math. We provide a healthy, safe and fun program introducing children to basic concepts of science and how it relates to the environment that surrounds them.
Project Science provides a unique array of programs. We engage and encourage learning through live presentations and exciting captivating experiments. Our goal is to build partnerships with parents, communities, and elementary schools by offering valuable after school programs and fun packed summer science camps, workshops and birthday parties that inspire creativity.

Sarah’s Science, founded by Sarah Shaffer in 1987 to provide children and their families a unique and exciting approach to learning about the wonderful world of science and nature, offers children ages 5 to 15 the opportunity to have fun while learning at our science day camps, including This Land Is Your Land Summer Day Camp in Oakland, Berkeley, and San Ramon, offering hands on science projects, arts and crafts, hiking, swimming and outdoor games in beautiful redwood forest parks; Winter, Spring and Thanksgiving camps during school breaks; and Saturday workshops, including Mother/Daughter Science, Bug of the Month Club, Science Night and Saturday Science.
