I believe in capturing the the beauty and unique personality of each of my subjects. I am absolutely against the cookie-cutter approach to portraiture and work hard to make each photo from each session unique. I love collaborating with artists and models so if you have an idea you'd like to develop, I'd love to help. I believe that everyone deserves beautiful pictures of themselves, not just the rich and famous.
I shoot portraits (including senior pictures), actor headshots, fashion, pinups, boudoir, and theatrical production photos. I do have a moderate sized studio space but even if you have a wide variety of backdrops and props, repetitiveness is inevitable. Because of that, I do most of my shooting on location in a wide variety of environments around the Michiana area and, to a degree, in Chicago. In my other life, I am a theatrical lighting and scenic designer. I actually became serious about photography to take pictures of my designs and my first professional photography jobs were theatrical and event photography along with actor headshots. I am the staff photographer of the IUSB Raclin School of the Arts where I shoot everything from classrooms and labs, to theater productions and concerts, to faculty portraits. I am versatile, hard working, and passionate. You will find my rates reasonable and my service exceptional. Quality is remembered long after price is forgotten.
