William C. Stone is a versatile sculptor who works with a variety of stone and wood as well as casting in plaster and resin. Stone's favorite medium is limestone because its uniform color allows one to observe the forms without the distraction of grain or markings. The abstract shapes in his sculpture derive from human and other organic forms. As well as his in-the-round work, Stone makes sculptured wall reliefs. His woodcut prints are figurative or abstract images. He welcomes commissions.
