Declarative Sentence
The declaration or declarative sentence is an important form of sentences in English grammar. Often, the whole of the reports and essay are written using declarative sentence. These sentences are used more often in our daily lives than the other four types of sentences. An argument, a fact, an idea are expressed through this sentence type. It does not require an action or an answer from the reader. Also, it does not request or it does not give command as well as ask a question. With simple period, these sentences can be punctuated. It is made of two parts, a predicate and a subject where the subject is compound subject or simple subject. In other words, a sentence which is in form of a statement is a declarative one. It is in contrast to an exclamation, a command and a question and it finishes with a period. Any sentence that makes a statement, simply, is termed as declarative sentence. For example, the journey is tiring or the horse is white. This kind of sentence is known for living up to its name because it has the quality to declare of something without displaying a question or enthusiasm.
