Artist's Statement:
I have always been fascinated with the basic elements that make up visual images, and use photography to explore these powerful shapes and forms. I look for compositions of color, texture, line and form that intrigue the eye and evoke emotional response. I look for that sense of "rightness" that makes a picture work on more than one level.
For the past several years, I have been exploring a rich and surprising source of visual material. Hidden within the weathered paint and overlapping chaos of graffiti are striking and beautiful images just waiting to be seen. Let me show you what I have found in this unlikely source.
