Oasis Home Daycare - Home Welcome!!!!! My name is Toshina A. Thames (Ms. Shina) and I am the Owner of Oasis Home Daycare. I have been a licensed home daycare provider since October of 2004. As of December 2009 Oasis is a licensed group home daycare. The basement is designated to the daycare only! It has a full kitchen, bathroom, office and large open area for the children’s daily work and play. I am currently a student at Chicago State University receiving my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I believe in addition to hands on experience a college degree will help ensure my daycare children will have a better chance of success in school. Oasis uses a monthly Curriculum from Funshine Express. In addition to this curriculum I also supplement additional educational goals and activities for the children. Each week you will be given a sheet, which will inform you of our weekly letter, number, shape and color we are learning. It also has different activities for you to do at home with your children. You will also be given a daily log, which includes, any items your child needs, meal information, toilet/diaper changing times and activities that took place on that day. In addition to myself teaching and nurturing your children I also have two people that help ensure your children’s success they are Qiana O’bryant and Jazzmin Reynolds. Ms. Qiana and Ms. Jazzmin as referred to by the daycare children have current CPR and First Aid Certification along with myself. My husband Roosevelt “Bam” Hubbard preforms occasional maintenance and upkeep. Mr. Bam and I have been married for two years. Bam is a union carpenter and therefore does not have day-to-day contact with the children.
