Born and raised in Montevideo, Uruguay, Shirley began her love affair with the harp at the early age of nine, soon after she was performing with a unique harp ensemble of 36 harpists touring South America.
She has performed professionally all over the world, as a soloist and with her own band , sharing her passion for the instrument.
As a featured entertainer an a prolific composer Shirley ,combines high energy numbers with engaging performance skills , lively ethnic rhythms covering the cultural spectrum from Greek, Italian, New Flamenco and Pop to her own Latin roots, bringing the Harp to the Center Stage .
