Photography and photos have always been present and important through out my life. I'm a firm believer "a picture is worth a thousand words". A picture captures a moment and freezes it forever. It is a keeper of emotions.
At the age of six I immigrated to the USA from Cuba through the Pedro Pan program, having arrived alone I was sent to a foster home. Along with my suitcase my mother made me carry my photo album, these included my family’s pictures since I was born. Being in a foreign country, alone, at the age of six was difficult and scary needless to say, I was quite homesick, yet these photos comforted me and reassured me of my family’s love...
Within less than year, luckily we were all reunited. Our first camera was a Kodak camera my mother got through a promotion on a cereal box. I have not stopped shooting since.
I love to make people look good; I look at the world through the eye of the camera always searching for that perfect shot.
