Welcome to The University of Texas at Austin Division of Recreational Sports Intramural Wall of Fame!
The Intramural Wall of Fame is a photo gallery of all University of Texas at Austin Intramural Champions and Runners-Up dating back to 1919. The gallery is located on the lower level of Gregory Gymnasium and viewing is available during operating hours of the facility.
The digital version of the Wall of Fame was made possible through the generosity of several individuals who cherish the memories and history found in the decades of Wall of Fame photos. The original photographic collages hanging in Gregory Gym were photographed a few years ago, resulting in a collection of negatives. Those negatives are, in turn, being scanned to digital files for display here.
Wall of Fame History
• The original Wall of Fame was composed of photographs of men's intramural champions and runners-up dating back to 1919.
• When the Division of Recreational Sports was formed in 1974, photographs of women's intramural champions began to be added to the Wall of Fame.
• The Wall of Fame was updated again in 2002 to include photographs of women's intramural champions and runners-up from 1933 through 1973.
The Digital Wall of Fame is very much a work in progress. Stay tuned as additional decades are posted. And please don't forget to keep your eye on the "Wall of Fame Mysteries" gallery. We're hoping you can help us fill in the blanks where information is missing from the original photo collages.

Welcome! My name is Reuben Garcia, and my wife is Barbara. I did my first wedding 35 years ago in Chicago and was so thrilled with it, I've been doing it ever since. I've been serving Wilson County for 30 years, from birthday parties, debuts, weddings, anniversaries, corporate events, and 1 cover page, and 2 inside stories for Texas County Progress - an official publication of the county judges and commissioners association of Texas. And the photo lay-out of Clifton Jansky in Country Music Express Magazine for the article "Clifton Jansky: A walking Example of Faith". Each year we also donate photography and videography coverage of the "Relay for Life" Cancer Walk. A wonderful cause highly supported by folks from all across Wilson County and beyond. We were actually able to catch up to George W. Bush on the campaign trail as he came through Wilson County in his bid for Govenor. Being involved in photography for quite a few years, I have found that people really enjoy having their pictures taken in a natural way with natural poses instead of standing at attention trying to act like they are smiling and oh so happy to be there.
Familiar surroundings lend themselves to a relaxed atmosphere where your true expressions and mannerisms stand out. I enjoy what I am doing and have a knack for putting a real smile on people's faces. These are a couple of good reasons why I like to come to you instead of working in a studio setting.
There are so many celebrations that you will want to capture in photographs, so you can look back with fond memories, memories of your family growing up, a pregnancy, birth of a baby, family pets, birthday parties, senior pictures, prom night, weddings and don't forget special anniversaries. You also won't want to forget those wonderful moments working together, raking leaves, walking in the woods, playing sports, and attending family reunions and parties.
If you prefer a more formal setting for portraits, I have available portable backdrops, lighting, stands, and reflectors. These tools can be used to photograph family members in various poses, either dressed up, in costume, with or without props or just holding hands and sharing the moment together.
Every picture taken is processed on my computer for lighting, color balance, and other enhancements and posted on this web site for your private viewing and purchase. My fee is $50 per hour and you are free to purchase any of the prints or gifts you so desire. (Be sure to visit the Prints and Gifts link at the bottom of the page to see the vast offering, from luster prints, framed or canvas prints, albums, sweatshirts, playing cards, stickers and even puzzles and mugs.)

FAMILY AND FRIENDS - are recent photographs I have taken of events, family and friends.
NATURE PHOTOGRAPHY - allows you to see that I have a great passion for nature. It's incredible what you can discover with a camera as it makes you more aware of nature's interactive environment. There you will see flowers, butterflies, bees, trees, landscapes and even snakes, snails and spiders. The close-up photos are taken with a special macro lens.

I've been taking photographs since I was a child. My father was a photographer and I would beg my way into his darkroom as often as I could. I was fascinated by how light worked to bring images to seemingly empty pieces of paper. I received my first camera for my 10th birthday and have been taking pictures ever since. In the 1970's I worked with my father as a wedding photographer. Primarily my father instructed me in photography. I also took a course taught by Bill Stockwell and learned his Through the Bride's Misty Eyes method of wedding photography, specializing in photographs that emphasized the emotion, softness and tender beauty of the occasion. This early training has had a considerable influence on my photography as a whole and the artistic eye with which I use to take photographs.
As time passed I became more and more captivated with nature photography and macro photography and have been working in these areas for over 20 years. The introduction of digital photography has brought me back full circle. Now, with this new digital medium, I can produce my art using many of the same techniques I watched my father use in his black and white darkroom on the full color photographs I take today. I've been doing professional photography since 1999 doing custom jobs for clients offering a selection of greeting cards and matted or framed prints for sale.
