Every day dogs and cats are dumped on the streets; injured, scared, and hungry. We're finding permanent, loving homes for these helpless victims, supporting animal shelters to facilitate more adoptions, and promoting responsible spay/neuter practices.

Spay Neuter All Pets, Inc. (SNAP) - Mission Statement Spay/Neuter All Pets, Inc. (SNAP) is a non-profit organization solely dedicated to ending unwanted litters of dogs and cats thereby eliminating the need for euthanasia of homeless animals. SNAP is dedicated to furthering the cause of humane animal care and responsible animal ownership. Our Purpose and Scope Established in 1996 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit, SNAP provides opportunity and availability for low cost pet spay and neuter services to residents of Louisa County and surrounding counties. The organization schedules, coordinates and monitors provision of services which are contracted through area spay/neuter clinics. Scheduling includes contacting clients who have requested service and securing appointments which are acceptable to the client as well as the clinic providing the surgical procedure. Coordination includes ensuring clients are provided with correct information regarding time, location, prerequisites and precautions to secure safe and effective intake, transport, surgery and return. Additionally, coordination includes arranging staffing for the transport shuttle to assist in completion of appropriate paperwork, collection of funds, tagging of pets, labeling crates and safe and secure loading of transport vans. Monitoring includes maintaining communication with the spay/neuter clinic and with the client to best serve the interests of the clients and their pets, thus ensuring the best possible outcome. SNAP provides financial assistance based upon need. Services are not limited by residence or ability to pay. Funding is provided solely by grants and donations. SNAP has also instituted a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program for feral cats. Colony stabilization is the goal and is accomplished through colony identification, humane trapping of complete colonies by trained volunteers, spay/neuter and vaccination service, and effective return to the original location with as little stress as possible to the feral cats. Since our inception, we have provided services for over 7,000 animals in Louisa and surrounding counties.
