West Coast Dog and Cat Rescue - Pet Adoptions in Eugene, Oregon
WCDC is dedicated to reducing the number of animals euthanized in our community by offering temporary housing in our adoption facility within Petsmart and in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. Our belief is that through education of the public in areas of humane treatment of animals, the importance of spaying and neutering, the importance of adoption and animal husbandry skills will work to help eliminate the need to euthanize animals due to lack of space in existing county shelters and humane societies. WCDC works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem by taking custody of their animals and housing them in our adoption center within Petsmart or foster homes until we can find them a long term home through our adoption process. All animals in our custody receive the medical care they need through veterinarians we work with. WCDC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Any money raised that does not directly go towards our overhead will be put back in the organizations general fund to be used for the sole purpose of helping WCDC save as many animal lives as possible.
