Art of Anastasia Sotiropoulos
Mainly a realist painter, Anastasia likes to work with pencil, oils, and watercolor. Her main subject matter is people, but currently she is working on a series of cityscapes of the Upper West Side of Manhattan where she lives. She likes to explore the way light defines form, in a rich, painterly, direct yet controlled way. She spends summers in Greece (mainly the islands), where she paints spontaneous watercolors of people, villages and the sea.
