Rising Stars
Rising Stars was established in 2000, through the facilitation of developmental basketball camps and social programs for First Nation Youth in Waswanipi Quebec. In the years that followed, Rising Stars expanded its influence to numerous other First Nation Communities in Northern Ontario and Quebec’s James Bay Cree region. Since then, Rising Stars has experienced significant growth and diversification. Through strategic development, the organization has expanded into different sports (Basketball, Softball, Football, and Soccer) and also offers Athletic Performance Training. All programs, camps, clinics, workshops and lessons, are now offered on various First Nation Reserves located in Northern Ontario and Quebec, and also in many urban areas, public and separate school boards, and community centers, throughout the Southern Ontario region.
