Stove Alarm SA100. Attached to the range hood with magnets, the Stove Alarm emits a warning signal if the stove becomes too hot, or if an empty hotplate is left on. The Stove Alarm emits a warning signal long before any damage occurs. Battery life around 10 years.

Stove Guard SFC200 Mounted on the stove electricity supply, the Stove Guard identifies any warning signal which may be emitted by the Stove Alarm or fire alarm, and cuts off the electricity supply to the stove where necessary. The Stove Guard also controls stove use and cuts off electricity supply through an smart timer if the hotplate power is not adjusted.
The Stove Guard has an automatic lock for children or people with memory disorders.

Every year, a significant number of fire incidents happen in the United Kingdom, many of them leading to deaths and injuries. According to Fire Statistics, UK, there were a total of 43,351 fire incidents in the year 2007. More than half of these were caused by cooking appliances.
