What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese technique used to reduce stress, induce relaxation and promote healing.
Even though the Reiki system has his roots in very ancient Eastern philosophies, it began to spread at the beginning of the 20th century when Dr Mikao Usui, a Japanese Buddhist monk developped a system of natural healing.
Reiki comes from the Japanese words Rei and Ki.
Rei means God’s wisdom or Higher Power
Ki means Life Force Energy
Reiki is Spiritually guided Life Force Energy
The flow of unseen Life Force Energy makes us be alive
People with low Life Force Energy are more prone to feel stressed or get sick. People with high Life force Energy are usually happier and healthier since their mind/ body connection is well balanced and their energy (Ki) flows freely
Reiki balances energies through all body levels
Physical: by promoting relaxation of muscles, balancing energy flow through chakras ans meridians and increasing vitality
Emotional: by inducing calm and helping ability to distres
Mental: by relaxing the nervous system and thus, promoting mental clarity, creativity and better focus
Spiritual: by making us experience inner wisdom, spiritual growth and the feeling of true self
Reiki is a joyful path toward a balanced life. It helps restore and rejuvenate the whole being, leaving a wonderful sensation of harmony and balance.
Reiki is non religious. Anyone can receive Reiki, anyone can learn Reiki. It cannot be used for any negative purpose. It is always positive and beneficial for the recipient. For these reasons Reiki works well with regular as well as holistic medicines. Even though Reiki is not a cure for disease it can be used to complement traditional medicine and is applied in many hospitals and health care practices.
