Muhammad Asri Anas lahir di Pare-Pare pada tanggal 12 juli 1975 dari pasangan Muhammad Anas dan Hj. Hajinah. Menikah dengan A. Ice Fadriani Nur, SE. Ak. dan dikaruniai tiga orang anak. Jenjang pendidikan SD sampai SMU di Polman Sulawesi barat.Pada tahun 2001 Muhammad Asri Anas mendapat gelar sarjana dari Universitas Hasanuddin fakultas Sastra.

Welcome to my photos and information about foreign travel and life in Alaska .
Image galleries you'll find here predominantly sample journeys abroad exploring alternate cultural perspectives. Alaska Backyard presents some of the natural beauty and wildlife in my stateside home.
I'm best inspired by life on the road. My travels have the luxury of developing along the way, wandering locally by motorbike, foot, bicycle, kayak, skis, boat, bus, train, car and truck. Offbeat entices me far more than popular, striving beyond tourist venues into a more local perspective. I get around relatively light and cheap, kind of upscale downscale among locals and backpackers where it’s easier to be more a part of there. The journey itself is classically my goal.
Until 2005 I’d been a wildlife biologist, bond salesman, investment manager and bartender. Travels cranked up in 2003 with a trip to Haiti, followed by Trinidad-Tobago, bicycling in France, Bali and Sulawesi in Indonesia, Hong Kong, Costa Rica, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Malaysia and Singapore. I’d previously been throughout the US and to Canada, Mexico and Europe. The developing world inspires me most now. Southeast Asia dominates current interests. I presently live mostly in Ao Nang and Koh Lanta, Thailand. Elsewhere always beckons.
Images here highlight most of these recent trips until a couple years ago. Captions present local color and travel detail. I'll add more images and more recent travels when there’s time apart from all the traveling. I have much updating to do.
