Hugo Roundhouse - Roundhouse Preservation Inc.
Constructed in 1909, the Hugo Union Pacific Railroad Roundhouse is one of only three remaining from the original pre-merger Union Pacific Railroad, with this being the only one in Colorado. It's one of only four historic roundhouses left in Colorado and the only one associated with the Union Pacific Railroad. It's also the only surviving brick roundhouse in the state and one of the most significant historical sites on Colorado's Central Plains.

The inaugural John Glaser Memorial 5K Run/Walk is being held in honor of Shawnee firefighter John Glaser and benefits the Surviving Spouse and Family Endowment Fund (SAFE) support the families of Law Enforcement Officers, Firefighters and Emergency Services Personnel in the Kansas City metropolitan area who have perished while protecting our community and our citizens. As a participant of the John Glaser Memorial 5K, you will receive: IPICO chip timing, cotton race shirt, raffle prizes, and top overall, masters, and 5 year age group awards. The race course will feature an aid station and large mile markers, together with food and beverages at the finish.
