Swing Affair Lindy Hop and Swing in South Florida
Swing Affair is a non-profit organization dedicated to keeping Swing and Lindy Hop alive and kicking in South Florida. It was started in January 2001 and has run weekly and monthly dances in South Florida ever since. We believe swing dancing is a great opportunity to get out and meet new people and is a fun form of exercise too. We play a variety of music that spans from Charleston of the 1920’s all the way to today. Swing Affair sponsors weekly and monthly swing dances in Broward County. At these dances we offer instruction to get everyone started, no partners are needed. We also offer more advanced progressive classes and occasional weekend workshops throughout the year. Each year in January, Swing Affair sponsors the South Florida Lindy Exchange (SoFLeX) – a gathering of swing dancers from all over the planet for a weekend long, 32 hour extravaganza of live bands and DJ’ed music in various locales in South Florida. If you are looking for something to spice up an event, contact us about providing swing dancers. From two to twenty we have you covered. Swing Affair is also available for group lessons, private lessons and DJ services as well.
