Synergistic Building Technologies, Inc. was founded in Boulder, Colorado in the summer of 2007 to develop, manufacture, and market products that enhance the energy performance and comfort of buildings. The first family of products being tackled is automated exterior insulating shutters. Initial work on these products has been accomplished by the Synertech Systems Corporation, whose key staff members are also directly involved in the governance and operation of SBT.
Other products under consideration for development through SBT include active daylighting and hybrid solar systems that harvest solar light and heat, putting it to several uses at once.
Our aim is to raise the quality of the built environment, both new and retrofit, and save substantial quantities of energy through elegant designs that are practical, aesthetically appealing, and genuinely green.
