Stephen Murray’s Journey. Heading into the 2007 Dew Action Sports Tour, former BMX dirt jumping star Stephen Murray’s back was against the wall. After setting the action sports world a blaze in 2001 with his gold medal-winning performance at the X-Games, his career lost momentum. As the bills piled up, Murray sought to reverse his fortunes with a huge performance in June 2007, only to suffer a catastrophic accident that left him a quadriplegic.
