Williamsburg Pipe and Drum
The Williamsburg Pipes and Drums Band play traditional Scottish folk music. We perform events throughout the centeral Virginia area and we are for hire for yours! The Williamsburg Pipes & Drums is dedicated to the playing and teaching of music on the great highland bagpipe and the Scottish method of drumming. The band has been a part of the Williamsburg area since 1968. It has had several names; St. Andrew’s of Williamsburg Pipe Band, Strath James Pipe Band, and since 2007 the current name. Band members wear the Ancient Murray of Atholl tartan and on more formal occasions black Argyll jackets. Pipe Major Kevin MacIntosh and Lead Tip Bob Williams provide the musical leadership.
