Shanti D. Schnedler, MA, is a healer, teacher, and Reiki Master in the tradition of Usui Shiki Ryoho. She trained and initiated as a Master in 1988 by the Lineage Bearer Phyllis Lei Furumoto.
She has been teaching and practicing Reiki, Massage and Bodywork for more that 20 years, and is especially experienced in Reflexology, Intuitive Massage, Hawaiian LomiLomi, Polarity, Cranio-Sacral Release Work, Lymphatic Drainage and Integrative Bodywork. Shanti is currently training in the Rosen Method with Marion Rosen and Jane Malek
Shanti is a licensed N.D. in Germany since 1993 and Gestalt-Therapist, had her own clinic in Bavaria for 25 years until she moved to Hawaii in 2001. She opened SOMA & Psyche on NW 23rd Avenue in Portland, Oregon in July 2009, where she offers treatments, counseling and classes to individuals, couples, and groups
She has also been teaching and facilitating Family Constellation, Inner Child Work, Dance Therapy, and Integrative Healing Arts in Germany, Greece, Switzerland, France, and Canada and since 1998 here in the USA and on Maui.
She has worked closely with Alan Lowen, the founder of The Art of Being ® for over 10 years and is part of the circle of The Art of Being® teachers.
Shanti holds a M.A. in Depth Psychology, adding Psychosomatic Analysis, Sand Tray and Dream Work to her training, and is currently enrolled at SBGI for her clinical PhD in Pre- and Postnatal Psychology.
She is available for consultations around questions about Holistic Health, Pregnancy and Birth, and Early Childhood Trauma in mothers and infants, and has trained in Trauma Therapy, using EFT and Rosen-Bodywork and Movement Therapy.
