Maya Dor Design
Maya Dor is a free-lance designer living and creating in Paris. She is a multi-disciplinary conceptual designer, who creates in the fields of jewellery, everyday objects, performance costumes and illustrations. She combines various types of materials such as wood, metal, ceramics, leather and fabric. In her work she creates a new sensation to the user, allowing him to influence the final look of the object. She was born in 1975 in Israel and graduated in 2003 from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, in the department of jewellery and fashion accessories. Her works were presented in art exhibitions in Hamburg, Berlin and Tel-Aviv. She received an excellence scholarship from the America-Israel Culture Fund. Maya's works contain an excellent blend of talent, imagination, fresh approach and humor. An artist at soul, she puts in lots of attention and love in designing her objects, as if they were all for her own use.
