Toe Jacks
Mechanical toe jacks are hand operated by brute force as the pumping handle simply ratchets up the lifting shaft. This type of lifting equipment can handle lighter loads but it becomes increasingly more physical work to lift heavy equipment. These toe jacks are economical for lighter jobs.

Toe Jack
When lifting with a toe jack you should follow simple safety rules. A toe jack is employed to lift heavy loads. The operator is endangered if the lifting equipment ever fails or slips out from underneath the load. First you should not max out the load capacity of the jack. Ideally use a jack with additional safety capacity. If a toe jack is overloaded and the internal mechanical components fail, the toe can drop to the floor instantly. When lifting the load, only lift about 2-3 inches at a time. Then use wooden blocks to place underneath the clearance under the load.
