Tommy DiVita
Tommy DiVita was born September 22, 1988.In 2003 he began painting wall clocks and drawing
in a style that he sometimes refers to as brokenline drawings. He also began sculpting, painting,
making dolls, and creating clothing. In 2007 he graduated San Dieguito Academy High School in
Encinitas, CA and currently attends California Institute of the Arts (CALARTS). Tommy experiments
with different mediums such as paint, acrylic, paper, glue, clay and plastics. His sculptures are
of human figures, animals, and invented creatures. He has developed techniques to make unique colored
textures from which he makes collages. These collages are representations of physical objects
and environmental settings such as glass, a forest, a sunset, or magma.
